Eurostat has just published the report on its most recent user satisfaction survey that took place in 2024. As in our previous surveys, users were asked how they assessed various quality aspects of European statistics, how satisfied they were with the Eurostat website and its various products, and how much they trusted European statistics. Eurostat highly values user feedback, as it plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of the data and services provided and ensuring that we meet users' needs.
Among the 1 675 users that responded to the survey, 13% more than in the 2022 survey, 50% identified as students, academics and private users, 20% worked for national statistical institutes or public administrations, and 15% for EU, international and political organisations.
61% of all respondents used European statistics at least on a monthly basis, and for 68% of them, European statistics were 'essential' or 'important' for their work or studies.
95% of all respondents indicated that they trust greatly or tend to trust European statistics, a share that has remained consistently high (between 94% and 96%) since 2012, when the first survey was done.
The overall satisfaction with the quality of data and services remained high, with 69% 'very good' and 'good' assessments.
The overall satisfaction among respondents with the Eurostat website was 61%. As many as 74% of respondents were satisfied or very satisfied with the support Eurostat provides to users.
