President Stubb visits Åland
On Monday 17 August 2026, the President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb visited the autonomous region of Åland.
"Maintaining close cooperation and dialogue with Åland is vitally important, and our annual discussions provide an excellent opportunity to stay up to date on current issues," said the President.

Also present were Mats Löfström, Member of the Finnish Parliament representing Åland, and Premier Katrin Sjögren, head of the Government of Åland. In addition to current affairs, the discussions covered Åland's potential as a tourist destination.
