CARNEGIE, PA - Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) held a three-part October Town Hall Tour across Pennsylvania's 17th Congressional District. The in-person events were in Penn Hills on October 5th, Carnegie on October 13th, and Beaver Falls on October 17th. More than 220 people attended the three events to hear from Congressman Deluzio and ask him questions.
"Congressman Deluzio's October Town Hall Tour was full of great questions and vibrant debate-a true example of democracy in action," said Deluzio Communications Director Zoe Bluffstone. "Showing up and listening is a key part of the job of a member of Congress, and it says a lot when an elected official is willing to stand in front of their constituents and take their questions. Not many are. Congressman Deluzio is committed to representing the people of Western Pennsylvania and will always go above and beyond to show up and get stuff done for his region."
Some of the topics most frequently brought up by constituents in the open Q&A sessions included: rising costs, AI and data centers, healthcare, the Iran War, veterans' care, the U.S. Supreme Court, corruption, and money in politics.
Congressman Deluzio's Town Hall Tour was open to the public and the press, and several news outlets covered the events:
