Thank You for a Record-Breaking GivingTuesday

Dear Adelphi Community,

I am filled with gratitude for the extraordinary generosity you have demonstrated. Together, we broke Adelphi's GivingTuesdayfundraising record-a bar we'll challenge ourselves to pass next year!

This year, we surpassed our $100,000 goal by more than double, raising $228,471.38 from 356 donors, who made 403 gifts in support of many vital causes.

Our Adelphi family of students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents and friends showed such enthusiasm in support of some of Adelphi's most meaningful priorities. We expanded access to emergency financial assistance, food and basic necessities, scholarships, breast cancer support services and other important resources our students rely on to thrive.

I want to thank Interim President Chris Storm for kicking off GivingTuesday in October with his inspiring challenge to support the Student Emergency Support Fund. That matching challenge was satisfied before GivingTuesday even started!

GivingTuesday Highlights:

• $228,471 raised in one day, setting a new GivingTuesday record!
• 403 gifts were made by 356 donors
• $58,000 challenge and match dollars were unlocked
• 22 tributes joined our new virtual tribute wall

Your generosity created a ripple effect-as $78,000 was raised for other Adelphi causes. Some inspiring gifts include:

• Adelphi Trustee Leonard C. Achan '99 and his family committed $55,000 to support Interfaith programs.
• An Adelphi Trustee and his wife contributed an additional $10,000 to the Student Emergency Support Fund.
• Karen Ali, the parent of a 2019 alumnus, was our Top Influencer. She rallied 16 friends to support the Ali-Weekes Endowed Scholarship Fund for undergraduate communications majors.

Thank you-Adelphi friends and family-for supporting our students, uplifting one another and showing what our community can achieve together.
