Teen Citizens Police Academy 2025

The Teen Citizens Police Academy (TCPA) is an educational and informative program modeled after the Murfreesboro Citizens Police Academy. TCPA is designed to give young people the opportunity to learn about the Murfreesboro Police Department and its operations. The teen academy also gives the department an opportunity to interact with teens within the community and solicit their feedback and ideas through discussion of relevant issues.

Through this free six-week academy, students will acquire knowledge and understanding of the functions and responsibilities of individuals providing law enforcement services in the City of Murfreesboro.

The Fall Class will meet each Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:

  • August 19, 26
  • September 2, 9, 16, 23

Murfreesboro Police Department
1004 N. Highland Blvd.
Register now as seating is limited and reserved for the first 20 applicants

Requirements:

  • Students who attend high schools or live within the city limits of Murfreesboro
  • Ages 14 - 17
  • Teacher/Counselor Recommendation
  • Parental approval
  • Available to attend all six-weeks
