Orrick is adding four more partners to the firm's Structured Finance practice: Victor Liang in New York, Brittany Fox in Austin, and John Paul Igoe in Charlotte have all joined the firm, and Polly O'Brien will join in London. These hires follow the addition last fall of a 40-lawyer transatlantic collateralized loan obligation (CLO) and asset-backed lending team, and of two asset-backed securitization partners in London last month.

"Together, these hires enable us to scale to meet unprecedented demand for asset-backed securitization, particularly at the intersection with private credit," said Leah Sanzari, Orrick's Global Structured Finance Group Leader.
-
Victor, a Chambers USA ranked advisor (Banking & Finance), and Brittany join from Morrison & Foerster, where they advised financial institutions, asset managers, companies, loan originators and servicers in forward flow and acquisitions of asset portfolios, as well as structured financings across a variety of asset classes, including consumer and marketplace loans, commercial loans, trade receivables, card receivables and esoteric assets.

Polly and John Paul together offer full-service fund finance support for capital call facilities, NAV lines, and other bespoke structured products on both sides of the Atlantic.

Polly is a Legal 500 UK recommended lawyer with deep experience in fund finance, leveraged finance, specialty finance and private credit. She acts for hedge funds, private equity funds, specialty finance companies, and investment banks in a wide range of opportunistic financings spanning the spectrum of debt and equity. She will join the firm from McDermott Will & Schulte.

John Paul adds experience in cross-border fund finance, subscription credit facilities, net-asset value (NAV) credit facilities and other asset-based lending transactions for leading financial institutions and private equity sponsors. He joins from Mayer Brown.
"We look forward to Polly joining our team here in London as we continue to execute on our plan to build out the premier transatlantic structured finance practice focused on cross-sector, innovative products," said David Quirolo.
"We could not be more pleased with our integration into the Orrick platform and the firm's commitment to continue to invest with six more partner hires this year," said Charlotte Partner Nate Spanheimer, who along with David joined the firm as part of a 10-partner team in October.
Orrick, which is Chambers Band 1 ranked across 5 different areas of structured finance, was the No. 2 CLO arranger counsel for Q1 2026 - globally and for the U.S. and Europe (Creditflux). The firm ranked No. 1 as U.S. private credit arranger counsel and mid-market counsel.
