Gilbert, Ariz.- Gilbert residents can now view and give feedback on the 2024-2025 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). This report highlights how Gilbert used federalCommunity Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds last fiscal year to improve the community's resources through programs like emergency home repairs, outreach for vulnerable residents, and infrastructure upgrades.
In Fiscal Year 2024-2025, Gilbert completed its five-year Consolidated Plan, focusing on housing stability and senior services. We repaired 58 homes, surpassing our original goal of 50, and made progress on the Heritage Center revitalization project.
For Fiscal Year 2025-2026, CDBG funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will support projects such as:
Emergency and Minor Home Repairs to ensure safe housing for low-income homeowners.
Exterior improvements to the Gilbert Heritage Center to improve accessibility.
Public services promoting housing stability, employment, and resources for vulnerable residents.
