Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai Holds Second China- India BRICS Dialogue and Chinese Film Screening

On August 25, Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai, in collaboration with Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College, hosted the second China- India BRICS Dialogue and Chinese Film Screening event. Consul General Qin Jie and Principal Dr. Anushree Lokur attended and delivered speeches. Nearly 400 faculty members and students from the college participated in the event.

Mr. Qin said that both China and India boast ancient histories and splendid cultures, with Xuanzang's journey to the West serving as a classic epitome of mutual learning between the two civilizations. In a world currently undergoing turmoil and change, both sides should adhere to being development opportunities and partners to each other, strengthen exchange and cooperation under the BRICS framework, jointly promote the unity and revitalization of the Global South, and inject stability and momentum into global peace and development. He emphasized that youth are the future of both nations and expressed his hope that they will enhance exchange and interaction, acting as ambassadors of enduring friendship.

Dr. Lokur stated that both India and China are populous nations, and strengthening exchanges across various fields holds significant meaning for the development of both countries and the world at large. She also wished the upcoming BRICS Summit next month a complete success.
