Pressed flower lantern craft March 21 at Former Governors' Mansion

BISMARCK, N.D. - Celebrate the arrival of spring while making a pressed flower lantern Saturday, March 21, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site, Bismarck.

Pressing flowers was a popular Victorian-era pastime. During this program, attach pressed flowers to a glass jar creating a beautiful lantern to brighten your home and showcase the beauty of nature. All materials will be provided, and no prior crafting experience is necessary. All ages are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Former Governors' Mansion, located at 320 E. Ave. B, Bismarck, is a state historic site managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Admission is free.
