Route 49 in Iron and Wayne Counties Reduced for Shoulder Scrub Seal

Sikeston― Route 49 in Iron and Wayne counties will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restrictionas contractor crews perform a shoulder scrub seal.

This section of roadway is located between Route 21 in Iron County and Route 34 in Wayne County.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, March 2 through Saturday, Aug. 1 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
