Daytime Lane Closure Scheduled on Eastbound SR-24 at Acalanes Road in Lafayette Due to Bridge Repairs

Scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Contra Costa County - Caltrans will conduct bridge deck repairs near eastbound SR24 in Lafayette. To ensure the safety of workers and motorists, the one #4 lane closure will extend from the Acalanes Road off-ramp past the El Nido Ranch Undercrossing. The work is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with timing subject to change depending on weather conditions. During this period, only one lane will be closed, and drivers on Acalanes Road may experience minor delays.

Traffic Impacts:

• Lane #4 (slow lane) eastbound SR-24 from Acalanes Road off-ramp to just east of El Nido Ranch Undercrossing
• Three lanes will remain open to traffic

Traffic Control Measures:

Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
