Placer/El Dorado Counties - Caltrans is advising motorists of the continuation of several construction projects within the Lake Tahoe Basin next week.
Along State Route 28 (SR 28), construction on a $31.7 million pavement rehabilitation project continues. The contractor for this project is Mercer Fraser Company of Eureka.

Striping work between State Route 267 junction and Laurel Drive, westbound lane closure is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday, September 13 through Thursday, September 17. Work is scheduled to end for the week at 7 a.m. Friday, September 18.

Drainage work between Dollar Drive and Lake Forest Road, westbound lane closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17.

Concrete work between National Avenue and Anderson Road, westbound lane closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17.

Concrete work between Chipmunk Street and Raccoon Street, westbound lane closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17.
Along State Route 89 (SR 89), construction on a $20.8 million pavement rehabilitation project continues with pavement work scheduled with one-way traffic control in effect at various locations between the Nevada/Placer County line in Truckee and Alpine Meadows Road from 7 p.m. Sunday, September 13 to 7 a.m. Monday, September 14 and from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17. Work is scheduled to end for the week at 7 a.m. Friday, September 18. The contractor for this project is Teichert Construction.
A broadband project on SR 89 along the West Shore is part of a larger statewide effort by the California Department of Technology to bring high-speed internet into rural communities. The contractor for this project is also Teichert Construction.

Between Eagle Falls Trailhead and Rubicon Drive, one-way traffic control is scheduled from 9 p.m. Sunday, September 13 to Monday, September 14, 9 p.m. Monday, September 14 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 15 and from 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 15 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 16.

Between 3 Ring Road and the El Dorado/Placer County Line, one-way traffic control is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 16 and from 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 16 to 4 p.m. Thursday, September 17. Work is also scheduled from 8 p.m. Thursday, September 17 to 10 a.m. Friday, September 18.
Additional broadband electrical work is also scheduled along U.S. Highway 50 in Meyers, between Apache Avenue and the Agricultural Inspection Station during the following dates and times:

Motorists could encounter delays of up to 20 minutes at each location. All work on road construction projects will be suspended on weekends and holidays. Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment and material availability, or other unexpected events.
