On October 2, 2026, Calfee Partner Todd Tucker led the firm's litigation team in winning a $116.9 million jury verdict for Calfee client Aerosonic LLC of Clearwater, Florida, against Defendant Joby Aero (a maker of "air taxis") for misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of a non-disclosure agreement.
In addition to finding liability under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, the jury in the federal trial held in Tampa also found Joby's trade secret misappropriation to be willful and malicious. The case relates to Aerosonic's air data probe trade secrets and proprietary information.
In addition to Todd Tucker, Calfee's trial team consisted of Partners Joshua A. Friedman and Mark W. McDougall, Senior Counsel Ronald M. McMillan, and Associate Attorneys Nicholas J. Bagnolo and Annabelle J. Lincoln.
