FloridaCommerce Announces Launch of the Utility Relocation Reimbursement Grant Program

~ Communication service providers may apply for reimbursement for relocating communications infrastructure ~

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-Today, FloridaCommerce announced the launch of the Utility Relocation Reimbursement Grant Program (URRGP). This program provides funding to reimburse eligible documented costs incurred by communications service providers for the relocation of communications infrastructure when requested by a county or municipal government.

The URRGP created by House Bill 703, Utility Relocation, passed in the 2025 Session and was signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis on June 5, 2025. Under Section 337.4031, Florida Statutes, the program is administered by FloridaCommerce and funded through monthly distributions from the local communications services tax. Eligible applicants must be providers subject to Chapter 202, Florida Statutes, and relocations must be formally requested by a qualifying entity with a project completion date no earlier than October 1, 2025.
