USA TODAY Sports launches Readers’ Choice Awards

April 13, 2026

USA TODAY, part of USA TODAY Co., Inc. (NYSE: TDAY), announced the launch of its new USA TODAY Sports Readers' Choice Awards, a fan-driven program designed to recognize the best experiences, destinations and products across the sports landscape as rated by the USA TODAY audience.

USA TODAY Sports Readers' Choice Awards allows readers to vote on a range of categories spanning professional and collegiate sports, as well as sports-related hospitality. The program highlights top experiences - from iconic NFL cities to premier college baseball stadiums and standout sports bars - offering readers trusted recommendations informed by both expert input and fan engagement.

The initiative builds on the success of USA TODAY's 10Best platform, combining expert curation with audience voting to surface high-quality, crowd-sourced rankings.

A panel of experts, put together by an expert and eligibility coordinator who sources subject matter experts based on the award category, will nominate contenders in each award category, with final nominees selected through editorial review by USA TODAY Sports editors. Once nominees are announced, voting will be open to the public for four weeks. Readers may cast one vote per category, per day, with the top 10 in each category named winners at the conclusion of the voting period.

Voting is now open across the following four inaugural categories:

  • Best NFL City
  • Best College Baseball Stadium
  • Best Local Sports Bar
  • Best Sports Bar

Winners will be announced in May.

Readers can participate by visiting the USA TODAY Sports Readers' Choice Awards website here to vote for their favorites.
