Cooper Programs, Team Members Honored at 2025 Social Innovation Awards

Cooper University Health Care was recognized in two categories at the 2025 New Jersey Social Innovation Awards, held April 10 in Camden.

The Cooper Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Patient, Family, and Caregiver Support Program received top honors in the Advancing Access to Health category. The program was celebrated for its innovative strategies to reduce health disparities and ensure equitable care for vulnerable populations, including older adults and individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, behavioral health conditions, and physical disabilities. Dr. Franziska Jovin accepted the award on behalf of Cooper.

Dr. Rachel Haroz, medical director of Cooper's Center for Healing, earned second place in the Excellence in Population and Public Health category which recognized individuals committed to improving clinical outcomes, strengthening care coordination, and shaping effective public health policy.

These recognitions reflect Cooper's deep commitment to social innovation and driving meaningful, lasting change in healthcare. The New Jersey Social Innovation Awards, presented by the Social Innovations Journal, celebrate individuals and organizations advancing social justice, equity, and community impact across the region.
