The meeting will focus on possibilities for simplifying EU legislation, the impact of the digital euro on the continuity of financial services, the development of the new EU long-term budget framework, and the use of Russia's frozen assets within the European Union.
Following the meeting, a press moment will take place at 15:40 in the Green Room of Stenbock House, conducted in English. After opening remarks by the Prime Minister and the Commissioner, journalists will have the opportunity to ask a few questions. The press moment will be streamed live on the government's YouTube channel, with a direct link to be published on Monday at valitsus.ee.
During his two-day visit, Commissioner Dombrovskis will meet on Sunday with representatives of Rail Baltic Estonia and visit the Ülemiste Terminal. On Monday, he will deliver a keynote speech at the digital euro conference organized by Eesti Pank and will meet with Finance Minister Jürgen Ligi and the President of Eesti Pank, Madis Müller, as well as visit the company Bolt.
Before meeting with the Prime Minister, the Commissioner will also participate in a session of the Economic Growth Council, an initiative launched by Prime Minister Michal. The Council will discuss possibilities for simplifying EU legislation.
