Reworld™, a leader in sustainable waste solutions, announced today that it will open a new Material Processing Facility (MPF) in Park Hills, investing more than $7 million and creating 21 new jobs. The company's new facility will process non-hazardous waste streams and recovered materials.
For more than 40 years, Reworld™ has been at the forefront of sustainable waste solutions while providing world-class results that serve people, the planet, and a more prosperous future. As a recognized industry leader, the company helps customers achieve sustainability goals such as reducing carbon impacts and fossil fuel usage. To establish its new location in Park Hills, Reworld™ will renovate a 150,000-square-foot facility formerly used for glass manufacturing.
"Our facility in Park Hills will demonstrate how innovative waste solutions can create both environmental value and economic opportunity," said Amir Hafzalla, President, South Region at Reworld™. "Park Hills is a strategic location that allows us to better serve our partners. We're proud to bring new jobs to the region and become part of the community."
Reworld™ specializes in converting waste into valuable resources through advanced technologies that enable the reduction, efficient reuse, recycling, and recovery of diverse waste streams. Through ReKiln Fuels™, an innovative alternative engineered fuel solution, the company produces fully customized, low-carbon fuels from industrial byproducts and post-consumer recycled materials that are ideal for cement and lime kilns, powerplants, and paper mills.
"The new Reworld™ facility in Park Hills is a great example of business growth," said Michelle Hataway, Director of the Department of Economic Development. "We congratulate Reworld™ and look forward to its continued success."
With a commitment to transparency, environmental stewardship, and collaboration with the community, Reworld™ worked closely with city officials and local stakeholders throughout the planning process for its facility. The location will not accept hazardous, biomedical, food, or radioactive waste and no combustion will occur onsite. All processing will take place indoors using methods that protect air and water quality and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.
Reworld™ will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
