Trump Administration Helps Deliver New Patrol Car to City of Sayre

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Oklahoma State Director Zachary Swartz announced today that the Trump Administration provided a USDA Rural Development grant to the City of Sayre to acquire a new patrol car for its police department.

The Administration's investment in public safety with the City of Sayre follows through on President Donald Trump's commitment to Make America Safe Again.

"President Trump has made it clear that this Administration will always empower our law enforcement community and understands that investments like this in rural Oklahoma help rid our communities of illegal narcotics and deter criminal activity," said Swartz. "Thankfully USDA has great partners like our Oklahoma Congressional delegation, who appreciate the unique funding challenges our rural Oklahoma communities need to help secure and protect our state and are willing to work with the Administration on bringing smart investments that have proven results to strengthen rural America."

"I am grateful for the Trump Administration's investment into Sayre for a new patrol car to enable law enforcement to keep its community safe," said U.S. Representative Frank Lucas (OK-03). "Thanks to USDA's leadership, rural America is being prioritized, and I'm pleased to see this grant going towards keeping Oklahoma safe."

The funding is provided through USDA Rural Development's Community Facilities Programs. USDA's Community Facilities Programs offer direct loans, loan guarantees, and grants for public service needs to improve the quality of life, develop, and sustain rural America.
