World’s Premier Soft-Rock Party Band to Bring Smooth Grooves to The Great New York State Fair

The maestros of smooth grooves, Yacht Rock Revue, have charted a course to The Great New York State Fair and will transport fairgoers back in time they take to the Chevy Court stage on Friday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m. to relive the golden era of the 1970s and 80s.

Yacht Rock Revue's repertoire, spanning from the sun-kissed melodies of Steely Dan and Michael McDonald to the velvety harmonies of Hall & Oates, evokes memories of palm trees, ocean breezes, and carefree summers. Yet, Yacht Rock Revue goes way beyond tribute band status by seamlessly integrating their unique style with the iconic yacht rock vibe.

The band got their start in 2007 in Atlanta Georgia and has over time evolved into a formidable force in the industry. The band has graced stages with legends like Robbie Dupree, Elliot Lurie, Matthew Wilder, John Oates, and Eddie Money, living the yacht rock dream. Their energetic performances set them apart, whether in intimate bar settings or rocking arenas, solidifying Yacht Rock Revue's place in the illustrious history of yacht rock.

"If you haven't listened to Yacht Rock, this is the perfect opportunity to plug into their infectious energy and relive some of the best songs of the 70s and 80s," said Fair Director Julie LaFave. "We're excited to add Yacht Rock Revue to our lineup and bring the sweet sounds of summer to summer's biggest party at the Great New York State Fair."

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 20, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 1. All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.

In total, The Fair's 2025 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and an 8 p.m. concert each evening at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway).
