Macon-Bibb County employees came together on Thursday, October 15, for our annual Wellness Day, a day dedicated to prioritizing their health, well-being, and taking a well-deserved break!
Some employees kicked off the morning with a round of golf at Historic Bowden Golf Course, while others hit the pickleball courts at Tattnall Square Park.
The goal of Wellness Day is simple: to encourage employees to take care of themselves and connect them with resources to support their physical and mental health.
"Our employees work hard every day to serve this community, and it's important that we take the time to take care of them, too," said County Manager Dr. Keith Moffett. "Wellness Day is about reminding our team that their health and well-being matter. We want them to have the resources they need to be healthy, happy, and successful, both at work and at home."
Employees later gathered at the Macon City Auditorium, where they connected with health and wellness vendors, enjoyed lunch catered by local businesses, danced, played games, and spent time with their coworkers.
It was a chance to step away from their daily routines, have some fun, and focus on something that matters just as much as the work they do for our community: their own health and well-being.
