In Feb. 2026, the German language program in the Department of World Languages hosted over 200 high school students studying German through Concurrent Enrollment. The gathering was pat of the program's "Do Deutsche" (or "Do German") Day event and included teachers and students from eight area schools.

This event introduced local high schoolers to the Boise State campus while immersing them in the German language and expanding their academic outlook. "Do Deutsche" Day was supported by funding from the Concurrent Enrollment program at Boise State. Faculty members Beret Norman, Becca Sibrian and Franzi Borders led the day's activities.
