Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs meets ASEAN Prize Recipient 2019

Deputy Secretary-General for Community and Corporate Affairs, H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto, received Prof. Tan Sri Dr. Jemilah Mahmood, the Executive Director of Sunway Centre for Planetary Health and the Recipient of ASEAN Prize in 2019, in a courtesy meeting on 5 March 2026 at the ASEAN Secretariat.

DSG Nararya commended the impactful initiatives by Prof. Tan Sri Dr. Jemilah Mahmood, which contribute meaningfully to advancing the ASEAN Community's priorities and long-term development objectives. Both sides engaged in a forward-looking exchange on opportunities to further strengthen collaboration in emerging and cross-cutting areas aligned with ASEAN priorities. They highlighted the increasing importance of integrating planetary health approaches for enhancing regional resilience and advancing sustainable development.
