Today, in honor of National Voter Registration Day, DNC Chair Ken Martin reaffirmed Democrats' commitment to reaching voters where they are:
As the DNC recognizes National Voter Registration Day, and as part of our own Voter Registration Week of Action, Democrats are all hands on deck to register voters across the country. We're organizing everywhere to win everywhere by bringing new voters into the fold - from college campuses to virtual organizing spaces.
"Our program includes more than 50 events spanning 27 states, and will be done in collaboration with College Democrats chapters on more than 30 college campuses, state parties, and grassroots activists across the country.
"In our country, the right to vote is a sacred and cherished ideal, and we must make sure that voters have the full ability to exercise that right. While Republicans are busy purging voter rolls, making it harder for people to vote, and unraveling voting rights, the DNC is hard at work making sure everyone has the opportunity to make their voices heard."
