Acura at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

  • Acura enters the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend looking for their first victory at the track since returning to the top class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2018.
  • This year, Acura will field wo electrified ARX-06 GTP class prototypes fielded by Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian
  • The #60 ARX-06 will be driven by 2013 Long Beach winner Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist while the #93 will be driven by multi-time Long Beach winner Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly.
  • The #93 GTP represents an increased presence from Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) within the organization as the HRC US team will strategize and engineer the racecar for the very first time in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition.
  • Both Acura MSR machines have notched podium finishes already this year with the #60 finishing second in the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona and the #93 finishing third at the Twelve Hours of Sebring last month.
  • The strength of these results has the #60 sitting third in the championship and the #93 fourth, while Acura currently is P2 in the manufacturers' points race.
  • Acura and its performance arm, Honda Racing Corporation USA (formerly Honda Performance Development), are both Southern California based-with HRC's headquarters in Santa Clarita and Acura's just up the road from the streets of Long Beach track in Torrance, California.
  • Alongside the Detroit event, The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is the shortest race on the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at just 100 minutes.
