Prepare for Multiple Days of Potential Severe Weather

An NWS Slight Risk indicates scattered severe thunderstorms are possible, which are typically short-lived, not widespread, but capable of producing isolated tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail.It indicates that while most storms will stay below severe limits, a few could produce damaging winds.

  • For Monday, there is a medium chance for severe thunderstorms
    • Damaging wind gusts are the main threat, with tornadoes and large hail possible in the strongest storms
    • Highest confidence is in the evening and overnight hours, but there's a chance for isolated severe thunderstorms during the afternoon
    • The flood threat is low, but poor-draining areas might have issues with any intense rainfall
