MGR-26-008: 2027 Crop Year 6-30 County Crop Program Expansions and Deletions

BACKGROUND:

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation has expanded the number of counties where certain crops are insurable for the 2027 crop year having a June 30 contract change date. The following attachment, Table 1, 2027 Crop Year 6-30 Crop Program Expansions, lists the expansions by crop, state, and county.

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation approved the deletion of five county crop programs for the 2027 crop year having a June 30 contract change date. The following attachment, Table 2, 2027 Crop Year 6-30 Crop Program Deletions, lists the deletions by crop, state, and county.

ACTIONS:

• Expansions (See Table 1)
  Approved Insurance Providers should advise producers of the expanded county crop programs for the 2027 crop year.
• Deletions (See Table 2)
  These county crop insurance programs are terminated effective for the 2027 and subsequent crop years. Even though there has been no participation in this county crop program, Approved Insurance Providers (AIP) are encouraged to monitor their book of business because, if an AIP accepts an application or fails to timely cancel a crop insurance policy for the 2027 crop year by the cancellation date, no reinsurance will be provided. The Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) is available to producers of these crops in these counties. Information regarding NAP can be found at http://www.fsa.usda.gov/
