HOUSTON, March 17, 2026 - KBR (NYSE: KBR) today announced the launch of KBR INSITE 3.0, the latest evolution of its digital delivery platform and a major step forward in KBR's AI driven growth strategy. Developed in collaboration with UK based Applied Computing, INSITE 3.0 introduces a trusted, physics- informed artificial intelligence adviser designed specifically for mission-critical and safety-critical industrial operations.

INSITE 3.0 integrates Applied Computing's Orbital AI model with KBR's decades of design, operations, and advisory expertise to give customers an unprecedented understanding of their industrial energy assets. Facility operators can now seek to optimize day to day operations, reduce costs, increase reliability and yield, and improve safety with an AI adviser that leverages nearly 100% of operator data, identifies mathematically traceable root causes, predicts emerging issues, and provides real-world, real time, clear recommendations.

Unlike opaque large language model AI systems, this AI platform is grounded in physics equations and decades of KBR's process technology expertise, delivering recommendations that are reliable, clear, and suitable for high-value operations. INSITE 3.0 will allow customers to explore root causes of issues and receive specific, traceable, and repeatable guidance based on the application of physics and the facility's data.

"It's rare that you have the opportunity to be a part of something that has the potential to shift paradigms. We believe INSITE 3.0 powered by Orbital could unlock transformational, cross-sector change in the energy industry," said KBR Chief Digital and Development Officer, Greg Conlon. "What we are creating with Applied Computing shows the industry that simply deploying AI for AI's sake is hype. I expect this team will lead innovative solutions and the creation of measurable value in the deployment of AI."

"This is a true game-changer for the industry," said Dan Jeavons, President of Applied Computing. "INSITE 3.0 integrates Orbital with the decades of data and deep engineering expertise that have been a hallmark of KBR. We are already seeing results that validate what we believed was possible, and KBR's global reach and licensed technology portfolio will accelerate Orbital's impact further."

KBR and Applied Computing will be hosting a joint event during CERA Week for anyone interested in exploring the next generation of AI enabled asset management.

About Applied Computing
Applied Computing builds Energy's foundation model. Orbital is the first foundation model built specifically for energy operations, combining physics-grounded intelligence with models across chemical engineering, time-series forecasting and language. Orbital provides real-time optimisation that operators can trust in the most complex environments - from refineries and petrochemical facilities to LNG, wind and hydro. Founded in London by Callum Adamson (CEO) and Dr Samyakh Tukra (Chief AI Officer), Applied Computing is already working with some of the world's most complex industrial sites. The firm recently raised one of the largest ever seed rounds for a UK AI company.
