Christmas and New Year’s holiday closures

In observance of the Christmas holiday, all city offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. on Friday, December 26.

For the New Year's holiday, city offices and facilities are closed January 1, 2026. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 2.

Due to the upcoming holidays, your regular trash and recycling services will be adjusted both weeks as follows:

• Thursday service moves to Friday
• Friday service moves to Saturday

Christmas Tree Recycling
Recycle your live Christmas tree by dropping it off at Buckeye Fire Stations 1, 2, 4 and 5 or the Buckeye Park n Ride, 19580 W. Palm Ln., from 8 to 11 a.m. on either January 3 or 10.

Recycle Grease after the Feast
Buckeye's Public Works Department also reminds you to recycle your grease after the holiday feast. Schedule an appointment to drop off your used cooking oil by visiting our Household Hazardous Waste webpage at buckeyeaz.gov/hhw. Remember, pouring grease down your drain can lead to clogs and costly repair bills.
