Temporary Road Closure Coming to Northbound Grove Near Main Street

Next week residents will notice work signs placed near Grove Road and Main Street advising of upcoming temporary weekday closures of northbound Grove Road just north of Main Street. Work is expected to begin Monday, Sept. 21 and continue through Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Traffic impacts will take place from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on weekdays while crews connect to an existing water main crossing Grove Road and replace pavement in the work area. Northbound Grove Road will reopen to traffic by 3:30 p.m. each day, with a possible closure up until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

During the closure, northbound traffic will be detoured:
Main Street → Lois Lane → Tyler Street → Grove Road

Advance message boards and traffic-control signs will be installed on Monday to alert commuters. Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area and follow the posted detour.
