Executive Order on authorised strength of Russian Armed Forces
In accordance with Article 4 of Federal Law No. 61-FZ of May 31, 1996, On Defence, the President resolved to establish the authorised strength of the Armed Forces at 2,399,130 personnel positions, including 1,510,000 military personnel.
The Russian Federation Government has been instructed to ensure that the Ministry of Defence receives the necessary budgetary allocations from the federal budget to support the implementation of the order.
