ARLINGTON, Texas - Texas Health Resources earned the No. 3 spot on this year's Great Place To Work® and Fortune Best Workplaces in Texas™ list - the highest ranked organization in North Texas and healthcare. The recognition marks the ninth year Texas Health has been named among Texas' top large employers.
"We're honored to be recognized for cultivating a workplace where our people can thrive and grow," said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, Texas Health's chief executive officer. "This recognition reflects our commitment to Our Texas Health Promise: Individuals Caring For Individuals, Together."
Fortune partners with Great Place to Work to conduct an extensive employee survey to identify the best workplaces in each state. Companies were ranked based on consistently positive experiences, employees' trust in leaders and the overall organization.
"As the healthcare provider of choice for more North Texans than any other system, we recognize that our people make that distinction possible," said Carla Dawson, chief people officer. "We are deeply committed to their well-being and continually invest in programs that support them - body, mind and spirit."
Texas Health employees benefit from comprehensive wellness programs, a generous 401(k) company match, and robust mental health resources, including free access to the Headspace app for self-guided support. Employees are also eligible for up to eight free face-to-face or virtual visits with a counselor per issue, per year, through the organization's Employee Assistance Program.
Texas Health supports employees' career growth through leadership development, mentoring, continuing education and on-the-job skill building, along with student loan repayment and tuition reimbursement for approved degree plans.
Team members who are new parents receive up to six weeks of paid parental leave and, if applicable, an adoption reimbursement of up to $10,000. In addition to paid time off, employees also get an extra flex day off each year to use as they choose and are eligible for a paid day volunteering to support other North Texas nonprofits.
Earlier this year, Texas Health ranked No. 34 on Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For® in 2026 list. Texas Health also was named as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Culture, Belonging & Community 2026, according to an analysis by Newsweek and the data firm Plant-A Insights Group.
