The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will host a public information meeting on Tuesday, September 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., pertaining to a proposed safety improvement project at the intersection of State Route 36 (Mount Morris Road) and County Road 64 (Perry Road) in the Town of Leicester, Livingston County.
The open-house style meeting will be held at the Leicester Fire Department, 126 Main St., Leicester, NY 14481. The session will provide an opportunity for discussion with NYSDOT representatives, who will be available to answer questions. Preliminary project plans will be available for review but no formal presentation is planned.
Among the improvements being considered include reconstructing the intersection with a modern roundabout. Other improvements that will address pavement, drainage and signage deficiencies to bring the roadway to a state of good repair are being considered.
Construction is anticipated to occur from 2028 to 2029.
