Public Notice Regarding Court Operations During Lapse in Funding

Monday, October 20, 2025

As of October 20, 2025, due to a lapse in funding, all divisions of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Georgia remain open but are operating without funding. The Court is operating at a reduced staffing level but will continue to fulfill its constitutional duty of processing cases and holding hearings as scheduled. For matters involving the United States of America, including its agencies or officers, please see Administrative Order 2025-02.

Due to the lapse in funding, payments for unclaimed funds, chapter 7 trustee payments, reimbursements, and refunds are delayed until a continuing resolution or appropriations bill is passed by Congress.

The Court's case management system (CM/ECF) as well as PACER and McVCIS continue to be available during the shutdown for online filing and access to case information.

The Clerk's Annual Meeting with the Bar scheduled for November 7, 2025, is postponed until further notice.

Vania S. Allen
Clerk of Court
