Three new state-of-the-art STEM facilities have been completed in Western Australian public schools, ensuring students have access to modern learning environments.
Dianella Secondary College, Atwell College and Geraldton Senior High School now have new STEM laboratories thanks to $3.7 million in funding from the Cook Labor Government.
Delivering on a 2021 election commitment, the existing buildings at Geraldton Senior High School have been repurposed into STEM planning and maker spaces, and a general-purpose learning area.
The new facilities were designed by Bateman Architects and constructed by LKS WA Construction.
Atwell College now has a new laboratory, 3D printing room and workshop areas, while Dianella Secondary College has a new IT laboratory and planning and maker space.
Paterson Architects designed the facilities at Atwell College and Solution 4 Building constructed the new buildings, while the new buildings at Dianella Secondary College were designed by Oldfield Knott Architects and constructed by Aboriginal Construct.
It forms part of the Cook Labor Government's record investment of $5.4 billion in education infrastructure across our State since 2017.
