Promoting Thai Tourism at the New York Travel & Adventure Show 2026

On January 24, 2026, Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General of Thailand in New York, visited Thailand's booth in support the promotion of Thai tourism, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), New York Office, at the New York Travel & Adventure Show 2026. The event was held on January 24-25, 2026, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Ms. Chompu Marusachot, Director of the TAT New York Office, led her team in presenting new approaches to Thai tourism, focusing on building traveler confidence and stimulating interest in visiting Thailand through meaningful and value-driven travel experiences. These initiatives were highlighted under the concepts "Healing is the New Luxury" and "Amazing Thailand Sport Paradise."

As part of the activities, visitors were invited to experience Muay Thai through hands-on training sessions featuring basic techniques, demonstrated by professional trainers from Weapons 9 Muay Thai Gym. The Consul General also participated in the activity.

The New York Travel & Adventure Show is one of the largest travel trade and consumer travel promotion events in the United States. This year, it welcomed approximately 16,000 attendees, including travel industry professionals and the general public from the Tri-State Area and nearby regions.
