General enquiries phone line now open

Connecting you better to our services

  • Dedicated general enquiries phone line now open
  • Improved access to council services
  • Website remains the fastest way to resolve most enquiries

We're making it easier for residents to access the services they need - quickly, simply, and in a way that works for them.

A dedicated phone line has now reopened for residents who need help with issues that can't be resolved online. It's part of our commitment to improving customer service and putting residents first.

We have also installed a new phone system for a better experience and to improve how calls are handled.

Our website remains the fastest way to access most services and should be your first stop if able to do so. But if your enquiry is more complex or can't be done online, you can now call 020 8863 5611 for support with things like housing and benefits enquiries, parking permits and Council tax.

Cllr Stephen Greek, Cabinet Member for Performance, Communications and Customer Experience said:

"Our priority is to put our residents first and make it easier to contact the council. Our dedicated phone line means residents can now speak to someone directly and get the help they need, faster. It's part of our plans to improving our customer experience and making council services more accessible to everyone in Harrow.

"It's still quick and easy to do most things online, but if you're unable to find what you need online you can call our contact centre. We'll continue to look at ways to enhance our services to ensure residents get the service they deserve and at a high standard."

This is one of our key priorities to restore pride in Harrow. Plans are also in place to open a new one-stop shop on Gayton Road for in-person support, and a self-service kiosk at Wealdstone Library to help with enquiries, payments, and uploading documents. Details will be made available in the coming months.
