Sidewalk and Parking Closure - 26th Street and Second Avenue

Beginning on Friday, September 18, 2026, portions of the sidewalk at the intersection of East 26th Street and Second Avenue will be closed to allow contracting crews to perform accessible curb ramp repairs.

The sidewalk on the north side of 26th Street will be closed during this work for approximately one to two weeks. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured around the work zone.

After the work on the north side of 26th Street is completed, work will shift to the south side of 26th Street at the Second Avenue and Pendar Lane intersection for approximately one to two weeks.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
