Embarcadero Releases RAD Studio 13.2 Florence with Faster Delphi Compilers, Expanded Arm and Linux Support, and AI Integration

RAD Studio 13.2 adds LLVM 20 compiler enhancements, major Delphi performance gains, improved C++Builder workflows, new VCL and FireMonkey capabilities, faster code navigation, and new tools for AI-enabled applications.


Austin, Texas - September 17, 2026 - Embarcadero Technologies today announced the release of RAD Studio 13.2 Florence, including Delphi 13.2 and C++Builder 13.2. The release delivers significant improvements in compiler performance, Windows on Arm and Linux development, IDE productivity, application design, modern C++ development, AI integration, and overall product quality.

RAD Studio 13.2 is focused on helping professional development teams build and modernize applications faster while continuing to leverage established Delphi and C++ codebases. Developers gain faster compilation and optimized application performance, improved navigation for large projects, expanded support for current platforms, modern UI capabilities, and new ways to connect existing applications and business logic with AI tools and services.

Faster Delphi Development and Performance on Modern Platforms

RAD Studio 13.2 moves the complete Delphi Linux Intel 64-bit compiler toolchain to LLVM 20, providing a modern compiler foundation, linker, and richer debugging information for Linux services, middleware, database applications, server-side solutions, and FMXLinux GUI applications.

The Linux64 compiler is available as both a 32-bit and 64-bit executable, allowing developers to target Linux Intel 64-bit applications from either version of the RAD Studio IDE. This capability is available for Delphi in Enterprise and higher editions.

The LLVM 20 Delphi compilers for both Linux Intel 64-bit and Windows Arm64EC also support parallel code generation, taking advantage of multiple processor cores to substantially reduce build times.

In representative internal FireMonkey rebuild testing, compilation was up to 14 times faster. New compiler optimizations also produced Release applications that ran two to four times faster in several internal tests, with some tests reaching improvements of up to seven times.

"Built on a modern LLVM toolchain, it delivers highly optimized code, parallel compilation, improved memory management, faster linking, and better debugging - all from the new 64-bit IDE."

RAD Studio 13.2 also extends Delphi support for Windows on Arm using Arm64EC, including dynamic runtime packages. Developers using package-based architectures can now create and consume runtime packages when building native Windows on Arm applications.

Additional work across linking, debugging, exception handling, resources, libraries, generics-heavy applications, and deployment improves the completeness and reliability of Delphi's newer LLVM-based platforms.

Faster Code Navigation and Modern Application Design

RAD Studio 13.2 integrates Navigator directly into the IDE, providing fast access to units, types, methods, and other symbols through a real-time Goto dialog. An integrated editor minimap provides a visual overview of source files, including the current location, breakpoints, and error annotations.

For native Windows development, two new VCL controls support modern application navigation patterns. TTabView provides tab-based navigation for document interfaces, dashboards, and multi-view applications, while TNavigationView provides customizable vertical navigation with normal and compact modes.

RAD Studio 13.2 also expands the FireMonkey Style Designer, adding tools for migrating, searching, validating, and refining application styles. The release updates Skia4Delphi to version 7.3, expands Linux compatibility and rendering improvements, and reworks FireMonkey animation responsiveness on Windows.

A More Integrated Modern C++Builder Workflow

C++Builder 13.2 continues the development of the modern 64-bit Windows C++ toolchain introduced with RAD Studio 13.

The Win64x compiler now runs directly inside the IDE as an in-process compiler, enabling more accurate compilation progress, structured diagnostics linked to source code, responsive build cancellation, and parallel compilation while retaining full IDE integration.

The release also improves package-based C++ development, including design-time packages, packages containing Delphi units, dependency management, resource handling, and package use across projects. Reduced unnecessary rebuilding and additional memory-management options further improve workflows for large and modular C++Builder applications.

Connecting Delphi and C++ Applications to the AI Ecosystem

RAD Studio 13.2 expands the tools available for developers building AI-enabled applications or connecting existing applications and business logic to AI services.

The redesigned SmartCore AI Components Pack, available through GetIt for Delphi and C++Builder, supports AI platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and Ollama. Its provider-independent architecture can be used to build conversational experiences, content and image generation, structured outputs, intelligent data analysis, and application-specific AI assistants.

RAD Studio 13.2 also makes the MCPConnect library available through GetIt. MCPConnect simplifies development of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, allowing Delphi and C++ applications to expose existing functions, business logic, data, and prompts to compatible AI clients and agent-based workflows.

MCPConnect handles protocol infrastructure including routing, serialization, schema generation, sessions, and communication, giving developers a more direct way to bring established applications and services into AI workflows.

Continued Investment in Quality, Platforms, and Frameworks

RAD Studio 13.2 includes a broad range of additional improvements across the IDE, debugger, compilers, frameworks, databases, web technologies, and supported platforms.

IDE and debugger updates improve code matching and insertion, HighDPI form inheritance, C++ syntax highlighting, Object Inspector behavior, IDE Insight, module management, modern C++ data inspection, Delphi type inspection, symbol processing, and debugger overhead.

The release also includes updates across Android and iOS development, databases, web technologies, and RAD Server. Highlights include updated Android SDK and NDK integration, Google AdMob and Maps libraries, Android and iOS Age Verification APIs, FireDAC support for PostgreSQL 18.4 and IBM Informix on Linux, OAuth 2 Authorization Code Flow with PKCE, WebStencils dataset enhancements, and RAD Server Management Console improvements.

Together, these updates reinforce RAD Studio 13.2's focus on reducing development friction, improving application quality, and helping Delphi and C++Builder teams extend established applications while adopting current platforms and technologies.
