Tracey Hernandez Appointed to City Council Ward 3
During their regularly scheduled meeting, held Tuesday, February 17, the Mayor of West Chicago, Daniel Bovey, and the City Council appointed Tracey Hernandez as Alderman of Ward 3 for an unexpired term. The appointee will serve until the next regular election (April 2027), at which point the position will be elected by the voters.
Alderman Hernandez's duties include adopting ordinances and resolutions, approving the City's annual budget, and enacting tax levies as part of the fourteen-member non-partisan City Council.
The West Chicago City Council generally meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 475 Main Street, unless otherwise posted. An interactive map of the City Council wards is available on the City's website.
