Concerts and Movies in the Park

A favorite summer tradition of music and movies alfresco is back at Summitridge Park for another season!

Concerts and Movies in the Park will take place for eight consecutive Wednesdays beginning June 11 through July 30 at Summitridge Park, located at 1425 Summitridge Drive.

Each event starts at 6:30 p.m. with a concert, fun activities for children, information booths, and giveaways, and is followed by a movie when the sun sets, sometime around 8 p.m.Two of the concerts will include extra festivities - July 2 will offer fun patriotic-themed activities in honor of Independence Day, and July 30 will include a public safety zone in observance of Diamond Bar Night Out with opportunities to meet and talk with local first responders.

Beach chair or blankets are encouraged, and eventgoers may bring food and drinks or purchase concessions from onsite food trucks. Both onsite and nearby street parking is available.

This year's concert and movie lineup:

• June 11 - Radio Royalty (80s hits), and An Extremely Goofy Movie
• June 18 - The Dreamboats (hits of the 50s), and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
• June 25 - The Silverados (Eagles tribute), and Ice Age
• July 2 - The Answer (classic rock), and Garfield
• July 9 - Upstream (reggae and Caribbean Island), and The Peanuts Movie
• July 16 - Kelly Boyz Band (country), and Despicable Me 4
• July 23 - Bumptown (Latin, funk), and Inside Out 2
• July 30 - ABBA LA (Abba tribute), and Kung Fu Panda 4
