The City of Lancaster Launches New Senior Tech Time Series to Help Senior Adults Navigate the World of AI

Lancaster, CA. July 27, 2026 - The City of Lancaster is making it easier than ever for senior adults to explore the world of technology. Registration is now open for Senior Tech Time: Navigating the World of AI, a new series of free classes designed to introduce seniors to artificial intelligence in a fun, beginner-friendly environment.

The program aims to explore AI, offering a welcoming space for those who are looking to better understand the digital tools they hear about every day.

"Technology moves fast, and it is easy to feel left behind by things like artificial intelligence," said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. "Through Senior Tech Time, we are giving our senior residents the tools and knowledge to understand new technology confidently and safely. Our goal is to ensure every member of our community stays connected in today's digital age."

Classes will meet on Fridays at 10 a.m. at the Lancaster Community Center.

The four-part summer series features the following schedule:

July 31: Intro to AI

August 7: AI & Disinformation

August 14: Is That AI?

August 21: AI All Around

The classes are free, but registration is required. Participants can secure a spot online by visiting the registration portal.
