Members of the Public Should Take Damaged Banknotes to Their Commercial Bank

The Central Bank of Barbados wishes to advise members of the public with mutilated (e.g. torn, damaged, or defaced) local or foreign notes they wish to exchange that they should take the notes to their commercial bank rather than bring them directly to the Central Bank. The Bank has instructed financial institutions that they must accept these notes from customers.

The Bank further advises that members of the public who have queries should contact its Currency Division at 436-6870 or via email at [email protected]
