Transportation Commission awards six highway contracts in September

STATEWIDE, Wyo. - At its September regular business meeting, the Wyoming Transportation Commission awarded six contracts valued at approximately $44.5 million for Wyoming Department of Transportation construction projects.

The Commission awarded a bid valued at approximately $17.8 million to Sundance-based Croell Inc. for milling, overlay and the replacement of one structure on Wyoming Highway 59 beginning at mile marker 163.5 between Gillette and the Montana state line in Campbell County. The contract completion date is June 30, 2028.

The Commission awarded a bid valued at approximately $19 million to Cheyenne-based Reiman Corp. for six bridge replacements at various locations in Uinta County. The contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2028.

The Commission awarded a bid valued at approximately $5.1 million to Idaho-based H-K Contractors Inc. for slide repair on US Highway 26/89 beginning at mm 129 between Alpine Junction and Hoback Junction in Teton County. The contract completion date is Oct. 31, 2027.

The above projects are funded primarily by federal dollars.

The Commission also awarded three bids funded primarily with state dollars:

The Commission awarded a bid valued at approximately $504,100 to Reiman Corp. for structure repair on Wyoming Highway 78 at mile marker 0.13 at the bridge over Interstate 80 in Carbon County. The contract completion date is Dec. 15, 2026.

The Commission awarded a bid valued at approximately $746,500 to Lovell-based Mountain Construction Company for stockpiling chip sealing aggregate at various locations in Big Horn and Washakie Counties. The contract completion date is May 31, 2027.

The Commission awarded a bid valued at $1.1 million to Jackson-based Evans Construction Company for salt/sand stockpiling projects at various locations in Lincoln, Sublette, Teton and Uinta Counties.

Almost all WYDOT projects are awarded to the lowest bid.
