The Finalists for the eco Data Centre Award 2025 Have Been Announced

For the first time, the eco Data Centre Award for particularly innovative data centre projects will be presented as part of the eco Data Centre Expert Summit, taking place on 5 and 6 May in Mainz. Projects will be honoured in two categories:

▶ Most Innovative Data Centre Project Under 3.5 MW

▶ Most Innovative Data Centre Project Over 3.5 MW

The independent jury - comprising Dr Ralph Hintemann (Partner and Senior Researcher, Borderstep Institute), Mareike Jacobshagen (Head of Global Business Partner Programme, DE-CIX), Ulrike Ostler (Editor-in-Chief, Datacenter Insider), Gerd Simon (Managing Director, Simabra GmbH), Harald Summa (Executive Board Member, RIPE NCC; Founder and Honorary President, eco Association), and Dr Béla Waldhauser (Leader, Data Centre Infrastructure CG and spokesperson for the Alliance for Strengthening Digital Infrastructures, eco Association) - has announced the finalists for the award, which will be presented during the award show on 5 May. In addition to recognising the most innovative data centre projects, the eco Data Centre Person of the Year 2025 will also be honoured as part of the award ceremony.

During the award show, the finalists will present their nominated data centre projects on stage. The audience will select the winning project via live voting.
