Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the appointment of Jonathan Newman as a partner in its London office, further enhancing the firm's employment law capabilities.
Jonathan, a barrister, joins from Simmons & Simmons, having previously spent seven years practising at 42 Bedford Row Chambers. He brings a wealth of experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with particular expertise in cross-border issues affecting financial institutions and technology sectors.
His litigation experience spans the High Court, Employment Appeal Tribunal (in both England and Scotland), and Employment Tribunal, where he has represented clients in complex, multi-day, and high-value claims. Jonathan also advises on business and share purchase acquisitions, workforce restructuring, and TUPE-related matters, both within the UK and across multiple jurisdictions.
In recent years, Jonathan has developed a strong focus on emerging employment law challenges related to AI and technological innovation.
