Alaska's service is the airline's first offering from STL flying south of the border

ST. LOUIS, MO (January 25, 2025): Today, Alaska Airlines will begin operating a weekly round trip to Puerto Vallarta. The direct flights are a seasonal service that will operate once a week on Saturdays from St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) to the Mexican resort city through April 5 of this year.

Alaska Airlines, which operates in Terminal 1 at STL, will have its first departure to Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport or simply Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) each Saturday at 8:00 a.m. The airline's return flight will arrive at STL at 4:30 p.m.

"We find Alaska Airlines seasonal service to Puerto Vallarta a great addition for those travelers that use our airport," said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, STL Director. "Alaska is offering service to one of Mexico's best known tourist destinations."

These flights allow STL to offer its travelers service to an airport that is ranked as the fifth-busiest airport in Mexico for international passenger traffic and the seventh-busiest in terms of passenger numbers and aircraft operations. Puerto Vallarta International Airport has rapidly grown, becoming one of the country's fastest-growing airports. Puerto Vallarta is located on Mexico's Pacific coast in the state of Jalisco. The resort community is best known for its beaches, water sports, and nightlife.
