WHY:

Miami Norland Senior High School, in partnership with D.A. Dorsey Technical College, is launching its new Career Dual Enrollment Medical Assisting Program. This initiative exemplifies the power of

institutional collaboration, creating a vital pathway for high school students to gain valuable skills and earn Industry Certification as Medical Assistants, a critical stepping-stone to competitive wages

and high-demand careers in the healthcare industry.

In its inaugural year, 200 students requested to enroll in this medical-assisting program as career dual-enrolled high school students, demonstrating the high demand for a program that allows

students to pursue professional fulfillment while earning their high school diploma.
