MBTA and Keolis Announce Fall/Winter Commuter Rail Schedule Changes

New schedules take effect on October 26.

The MBTA and Keolis Commuter Services (Keolis), the T's operations and maintenance partner for Commuter Rail, announced today that Fall/Winter Commuter Rail schedules will take effect on Monday, October 26. Schedules for all lines will be available soon at MBTA.com/CR. The Fall/Winter schedule maintains consistent service throughout the day, late at night, and on weekends.

Schedules will not change on the Fall River/New Bedford, Framingham/Worcester, Greenbush, and Kingston lines.

On the Fitchburg, Haverhill, Lowell, Needham, Newburyport/Rockport, and Providence/Stoughton lines, several trains will depart earlier or later than in the current schedule to improve resiliency, better reflect operating conditions, and to align with Amtrak schedules.

The Franklin/Foxboro Line will remain on a construction schedule while important track work is completed, and some train departure times have been adjusted.

Train numbers on all lines will also change with the implementation of the Fall/Winter schedule.

Passengers are encouraged to review the new schedules ahead of October 26 to plan their trips.

The Mass by Train website has itineraries, trip ideas, and information about riding the Commuter Rail to destinations across Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
