PM Mustafa discusses latest developments with UK Foreign Secretary, stresses regional escalation must not overshadow ongoing Israeli aggression

RAMALLAH, June 17, 2025 | Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa stressed that the ongoing regional escalation between Iran and Israel must not divert attention from the continued aggression of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. He emphasized the urgent need for intensified international efforts to halt this aggression.

His remarks came during a phone call on Tuesday with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, during which the two discussed the latest regional developments and their broader implications for Palestine in particular.

Mustafa underscored the importance of maintaining international momentum on Gaza and ensuring that focus remains on ending the war in the Strip, facilitating the entry of humanitarian and relief aid, and opening border crossings.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the need to advance a serious, multilateral political process aimed at achieving a lasting solution by ending the occupation and realizing the establishment of the Palestinian state.
